Personalised Workouts
I’m loving a new service I have just discovered www.FitStar.com (recently purchased by FitBit.
The basic premise is that you do a fitness test and then there are tailored video workouts generated for you. On completing each move you record your actual results and perceived effort and this feeds into your next session.
There is a free tier and a premium tier which unlocks more workout sessions.
If you fancy a premium subscription then please use my referral codeYDDFSN

Return to running
Following my recent groin strain – stop sniggering at the back – that’s me back running again.
Slow and steady – but I never did run any other way !
So – back to Strathclyde parkrun this Saturday and more importantly – the MND Scotland fun run also in Strathclyde park on Saturday 16th May.

It’s a cause close to my heart and I will be fundraising for MND Scotland in memory of my brother Derek and my daughter Emma.

Less Automation – More Control
Historically I have had a fairly slick publishing process via If This Then That.
I do most of my internet reading via Feedly and in there I can add tags, on of mine is “BlogThis”. If This Then That scans Feedly, looking for this tag and then automatically creates a blog entry on my site here at www.RossGoodman.com.
Recently, with some sites the formatting and links have been a bit “off“.
To counter this I’m going to start doing more posts via the WordPress “Press This” functionality. This will also allow me to have more control over what is posted.
Hopefully the formatting will improve from this point onwards.

On this day – 18 years ago
On this day – 18 years ago I started my career as a Business Intelligence consultant for Gamut Technologies leaving behind my “normal” IT job in NEC Semiconductors.
Not much of the old website remains
