I was just grabbing some photos of the sky to get some textures etc.
I never spotted it but Elaine says she can see something in this photo – can you?

I decided to to a month by month retrospective of the photos I took in 2016.
I excluded personal photos of family and friends and the result is – there are some months with no results đ
That will need to be fixed in 2017!

Thanks Colin for sharing this on FaceBook.

Slowly getting to grips with my new camera and my new photo host.
Need to do a lot of work on my workflow – too many steps at the moment.
Toying with the idea of doing a photo based treasure hunt – anyone up for that idea?
In light of the security news coming from Yahoo (500m passwords and security questions leaked, installing a rootkit allowing “anyone” to access all your mails) I’m doing all I can to cut my ties with them.
Flickr is the problem – I need to keep this active as this is the mechanism to publish photos to the parkrun website. However I will no longer be posting any “personal” photos to Flickr going forwards.
In the future please have a look at my 500px page rather then my flickr page if you want to see my photos.
Please bear with me as I’m getting to grips with both a new photo site and a new camera.
After uploading the photos from Saturday’s parkrun I thought I would have a quick look at my Flickr stats to see what my most popular photos have been (not that I take photos for other people of for the stats but ….)
I have tried to be provocative with my titles – “Something Dirty”
https://www.flickr.com/photos/ross_goodman/3213278801
which came in at number 10.
Just a quick summary of my on-line presence this year.
I have invested a lot of content to Twitter this year.
This is primarily due to the convenience of the platform racking up almost 1200 updates in the year here.
I can’t find a way to get stats for the year so here are my top five photos:
By far the most popular post on the site was the photos page here.
Second most popular page is the “About Me” page here.
As for the blog entries themselves they rank at:
1 – Business Objects XI 3.0 New Features – Conditional Prompts
2 – Crystal Xcelsius – Filtered Rows From A Filter Component
3 – Modelling Change In Your Dimensions
4 – Business Objects XI 3.0 New Features – Change Data Tracking
5 – Dimensional Modelling – Facts
As you can see here the site only really started getting traffic last January so that gives me 17300 page views.
Obviously the biggest news of the year was the passing of my daughter Emma.
Celebrating the Life of Emma Berry Goodman
And the year ends on another low point with the passing of another member of my extended family.
